Global recognition for local impact: Navitasoft’s solution for Ukraine wins prestigious award
2026. 01. 14.

We have been honored with the Partnership for Sustainability Award 2025 in the “Digital Transformation & Innovations” category. Organized by the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine, this annual award recognizes businesses and institutions for implementing projects that advance sustainable development goals and environmental protection, address social and economic challenges, and promote peace.

Over the past decade or so, Ukraine’s electricity market has developed from a state-controlled system lacking transparency and alignment with European standards into a liberalized market that enables real-time, competitive operations. However, cyber threats and Russia’s invasion of the country in 2022 made resilience critical. As servers were bombarded and grids attacked, the challenge became ensuring uninterrupted power.

Together with partners Ukrenergo, Smart Tech, Siemens, and the World Bank,  we developed a hybrid cloud-based hybrid Market Management System (MMS) that enables real-time balancing, settlement, and market monitoring. The system supervises over 1,500 grid nodes, maintains 99.9% uptime and, continually evolving, combines innovation and collaboration in order to ensure Ukraine's energy stability.

The MMS platform is the digital backbone of Ukraine’s competitive electricity market, handling the data necessary for the operations that can guarantee the stability of the power grid. A stable grid, in turn, enables all the functions that are essential to social and national resilience - showing that digital transformation can sustain a nation.

“We are deeply honored by this recognition,” said Navitasoft CEO Zoltan Hajdu. “Winning the Partnership for Sustainability Award for our platform in Ukraine proves that digital solutions can play a critical role in things that really matter - like keeping the lights on in times of crisis.”

The 2025 edition of the Partnership for Sustainability Award reviewed 150 applications from 22 countries, including Brazil, Latvia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Every project was evaluated by an independent international jury comprising experts from Harvard University and the London School of Economics and Political Science, among others.

Receiving this distinction reinforces Navitasoft’s commitment to using digital innovation to enable more resilient and sustainable energy systems. We feel privileged to have been considered for the award and can only echo the view of Tetiana Sakharuk, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine: “Lasting change is strongest when created through partnership”.
