Navitasoft began its cooperation with the Latvian natural gas transmission system operator JSC Conexus Baltic Grid in 2019, when Conexus and its Estonian counterpart, Elering AS, selected Navitasoft to develop a common gas transmission and balancing services platform for the Baltic markets, known as the Common Zone.
The Common Zone Platform enables nomination, allocation, capacity management and balancing operations within a single, integrated digital environment, supporting transparent and efficient cooperation between transmission system operators and market participants across the Baltic region.
The delivered solution provides a unified interface for Network Users to manage their gas market activities and receive up-to-date system information, while helping the transmission system operators meet their operational and regulatory responsibilities.
As a follow-up to the initial implementation, Navitasoft also developed additional functionalities supporting the commercial dispatching processes of Conexus’ underground gas storage operations.
Since January 2023, based on a renewed agreement, Navitasoft has continued to deliver enhancements and improvements to the platform, providing long-term support and development services planned through early 2026. This ongoing cooperation ensures the platform’s stability, compliance and adaptability to evolving market and regulatory requirements.
