Navitasoft successfully delivered the Estfeed DataHub for Elering, Estonia’s transmission system operator, providing a modern and reliable data exchange platform for the national electricity market. The solution went live on November 19, 2024, and has been supporting daily market operations since then.
The Estfeed DataHub plays a central role in collecting, storing and exchanging electricity consumption, production and contractual data across the Estonian power system. By enabling accurate and timely data flows between market participants, the platform supports key processes such as settlement, balancing and supplier switching, contributing to a transparent and efficiently functioning electricity market.
Supporting market evolution and system security
The project replaced a legacy solution with a future-ready platform capable of supporting rapidly growing data volumes, particularly after the shift to 15-minute balancing periods in 2025, as well as evolving regulatory and market requirements.
Shortly after go-live, Navitasoft was entrusted with the further evolution of the Estfeed DataHub, providing a new, flexible architectural foundation that enables energy data exchange across both the electricity and gas markets, supporting Estonia’s broader energy system integration goals.
The platform also contributes to Estonia’s strategic objectives, including increased system resilience and alignment with European electricity market practices, providing a stable foundation for ongoing market evolution and regional grid developments.
