Litgrid

As Lithuania’s electricity transmission system operator, Litgrid has played a crucial role in integrating the national power system with the European grid. We have been a trusted partner in supporting this transition.

  1. In 2021, Litgrid, together with Elering and AST, partnered with us to enhance the Baltic Transparency Dashboard, providing a single access point for essential market data.
  2. In 2025, Litgrid played a key role in the launch of the Baltic Balancing Capacity Market (BBCM), a new market for day-ahead procurement of capacity that we developed in collaboration with our partner N-SIDE and the Baltic TSOs. BBCM ensures that Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia have access to reliable balancing reserves, allowing the region to operate independently from Russia’s power network. The platform is designed to integrate with European balancing platforms and will support the transition to a renewable-based energy mix.
