Conexus Baltic Grid AS

We collaborated with the Latvian natural gas transmission system operator JSC Conexus Baltic Grid in 2019, when they and their Estonian counterpart, Elering AS, contracted us to develop a common gas transmission and balancing services platform - known as the Common Zone - for the Baltic markets. The platform enables nomination, allocation, capacity management and balancing operations in a single integrated way. As a follow up project Navitasoft also developed some features and functionalities for commercial dispatching purposes of their underground gas storage facility.  As of January 2023, as a result of a new agreement, we have continued to deliver improvements to the platform and will provide our service until early 2026.

About Conexus

Conexus is the only natural gas transmission and storage operator in Latvia. It owns 1,191 km of gas transmission pipelines that supply domestic customers and clients in Estonia, Russia, and Lithuania, as well as a cross-border gas metering station and 40 gas regulation stations. In addition, Conexus operates the only functioning gas storage facility (Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage) in the Baltics, which holds 4.445 billion m3 of natural gas (2.3 billion m3 of which is active gas available for regular injection and withdrawal), ensuring the stability of regional natural gas supply.
