Croatian Power Exchange releases API, enabling automated trading for its members
Navitasoft becomes CROPEX ISV

We're happy to see another power exchange add support for algorithmic trading - and even happier to be a part of it.

As the importance of algotrading on the biggest European energy markets continues to grow, regional exchanges are recognizing that their members, too, see the value of automation.

The CROATIAN POWER EXCHANGE Ltd. (CROPEX) is releasing trading APIs for intraday and day-ahead trading. These interfaces are the prerequisite for algotrading, and Navitasoft is among the first certified independent software vendors (ISV) for CROPEX.

Once the CROPEX intraday API goes live May 14, our Algotrading solution can be used for automated trading on the Croatian market.

Founded in 2014, CROPEX is a rapidly growing exchange, in 2020 reporting total intraday volume of 370,515 MWh and day-ahead volume of 6,076 GWh. Through market coupling, its intraday trading members have access to the highly liquid European SIDC (XBID) market. Day-ahead members can access European markets through SDAC.

"By supporting algotrading, the team at CROPEX is proving their innovative spirit," said Navitasoft CEO Akos Fuzi. "We're pleased to be able to offer the benefits of automation to CROPEX members with our Algotrading solution, and look forward to the further development of the Croatian power market."
